Overview: Orynth (ore-inth) is possibly the noblest example of what the treaty of Oth Dumar was intended for: a nation that prides itself on its honor, dependency, diplomacy and goodness. It is one of the six human kingdoms to be defined by the treaty after the Dragon Wars and has stood as a strong theocracy for the six centuries following. King Davidian isn’t really a king at all, but the high priest of the temple of Aurir. He is open to almost any idea or piece of advice from his own clergy or from the council members of the Knights Apparent (church of Vahale).
Orynth’s borders are designated by nomadic claims to the south (which the government respects), the Bethen and Cephalot Rivers to the north, the Burym Hills to the west and the Sea of Enet to the east. The shining city of Perdon is the crown jewel of the Oth Dumar plains, standing out with its white and yellow spires. It is a crossroads of three nations, and dwarves, elves and others can be found in abundance in the open markets surrounding the walls of the inner city selling their goods.
Orynth also boasts one of the largest and most well trained militaries in Faylia, led by the legendary Knights Apparent of the church of Vahale. All actual members of the Knights are established nobles and heroes, and the council is led by Daniel Paranden (LG male human Pal8/KAp10). Daniel is also the head of the Orynthian Army and rarely sits on the council when it convenes because of his military obligations. While having no direct wars, many paladins and Knights Apparent travel to Marae to aid in the fight against Irlghik, a conflict which both churches openly support. Conflict with Tyr is not an option, despite acts of aggression and privateering propagated by Lord Nahene. Hallius acts as a mediator (literally) between the two.
