Overview: Nu’ath (new-ahth) is the only organized nation of elves in Faylia, and is probably the oldest nation as well (although not nearly as large as it was before the Dragon Wars and the treaty of Oth Dumar). It also supports the entire Lorren tribe of Liveoak. King Aramil is a proud man and rules fairly towards the elven populace, although his government, where the royal family is almost exclusively faerie elf, is extremely hierarchical.
Nu’ath’s borders fluctuate to the south because of incursions by monstrous creatures and goblinoids, as well as the re-colonization efforts in the Southern Liveoak Wood. The coasts of the Sea of Enet and the Azmer Ocean comprise the remainder of the borders for the elven nation. Ambassadors and Diplomats from all lands except Irlghik are currently allowed in the courts at Naresti, which is also known as the glass city. Naresti is built into and around a growth of giant oak trees, and is home to the arcane academy of the elves as well as numerous other intellectual and arts academies.
Militarily, Nu’ath is passive and isolationist. With no nearby open conflicts or strong alliances, the elves tend to be self sufficient. Elves have existed in the Liveoak wood for millennia and are very well established. The Elven Royal Guard protects Naresti and Iderach while the Forest Patrol keeps watch over the rest of the country, including the new reclamation efforts to wrest the southern part of the Liveoak from its aggressive and monstrous denizens.
